Can Jesus Ever STAND Up?

‘Mid-Acts-ers’ teach that Jesus stood up at the stoning of Stephen (Acts 7:55) to return in judgment to make His enemies His footstool (Psa 110:1; Matt 22:44; Mark 12:36; Luke 20:42-43; Heb 1:13, 10:12-13). But then they say that He sat back down because, instead of coming in wrath (Matt 3:7, Luke 3:7), He ushered in the dispensation of grace and the body of Christ with Paul, which-they-say-began in ‘mid-Acts’ (that is, the ‘middle’ of the book of Acts which has 28 chapters, but specifically, in chapter 9 when Saul was saved, blinded, commissioned, healed, and water baptized).

At the time years ago, when the phrase ‘mid-Acts’ was coined, the Cunning Royal Jester was ‘allowing/accepting’ a few preachers (actually, one preacher, in particular) to believe that the dispensation of grace and the body of Christ (thought-by-them-to-be only PAUL’s converts) began in Acts 13 (hence, they called themselves ‘mid’ Acts), since Acts chapter 13 was where Paul was ‘sent out’ (Acts 13:1-3), and his name was changed from Saul to Paul (Acts 13:9), and he blinded a Jew (Acts 13:6-11), and he preached the grace of God (Acts 13:43). Many times I have heard the CRJ say that a man who gets the beginning of the dispensation of grace and the body of Christ wrong, will also get the ending wrong, thereby excusing the preacher who had problems with the CRJ’s teaching on the ‘pre-tribulation’ rapture. After years of trying to persuade the Acts 13 preacher to be with all the Acts 9-ers (to no avail), he was cut off from preaching at Acts 9-ers’ conferences. Since the Cunning Royal Jester and his Jokers had publicized the term ‘mid-Acts’ so often, even though they were then unified as solely Acts 9, they kept the ‘mid-Acts’ tag to distinctively identify their position of when they believe the dispensation of grace and the body of Christ began, thus distinguishing them from ‘Acts 2’ and ‘Acts 28’ dividers.

Back to the subject of this article in the first paragraph .... could someone show me the verse that shows WHY Stephen saw Jesus STANDING? Maybe He was welcoming His faithful saint home!

UNTIL He returns in the day of Christ (2 Thess 2:1-2) to bring resurrection and glory to His saints, and judgment, vengenance, and wrath to His enemies (2 Thess 1:4-10)?

Preaching the Law?

‘Mid-Acts-ers’ say that Paul preached grace .... but that the other apostles (particularly James, Peter, and John) preached the law.

Could someone show me the verse that all the other preachers, besides Paul, preached the law?

Was John the Baptist preaching .... the law? No!
Mark testified that John was preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ:

Mark 1:1 The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God;

John the Baptist was preaching .... the law? No!
The law was up until John, since then the kingdom of God was preached (like Paul did in Acts 20:25 and Acts 28:31; Rom 14:17; 1 Cor 4:20, 6:9-10, 15:50; Gal 5:21; Col 4:11; 2 Thess 1:5):

Luke 16:16 The law and the prophets were until John:
since that time the kingdom of God is preached,
and every man presseth into it.

Peter and John were captured and detained for preaching .... the law? No!
They were scolded for preaching salvation only through Jesus Christ, Who was crucified and risen from the dead:

Acts 4:1-4 And as they spake unto the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them,
2 Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead.
3 And they laid hands on them, and put them in hold unto the next day: for it was now eventide.
4 Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand.

Acts 4:10-13 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.
11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

Before Paul was ever saved, Philip was preaching .... the law? No!
He was preaching Jesus:

Acts 8:3-5 As for Saul, he made havock of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to prison.
4 Therefore they that were scattered abroad went every where preaching the word.
5 Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them.

Furthermore, Philip preached Jesus (the Lamb of God, John 1:29) to the Ethiopian eunuch, as he read from Isa 53:7-8, about His being sacrificed as a sheep to the slaughter:

Acts 8:35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.

After Saul (Paul, Acts 13:9) was saved, Peter (Acts 10:34) was preaching .... the law? No!
He preached the gospel of peace by Jesus Christ:

Acts 10:36 The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)

Paul recorded that the prophet Isaiah also wrote of men who preached .... the law? No!
They preached the gospel of peace:

Rom 10:15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

Paul taught that the believer’s armour is .... the law? No!
It is the gospel of peace:

Eph 6:15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

‘Mid-Acts-ers’ teach that all these other preachers were preaching .... the law! But that was not what we read in the scriptures! They were preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ!

Some folks just insist on putting others in a doctrinal box by micro-analysis. People get assigned to a particular camp, while having no idea nor claim, to wearing such a label. A man dissects their teachings and sections them into classifications of his own invention. “He is solid this .... or hybrid that!”

‘Mid-Acts-ers’ are constantly talking about God’s ‘programs’. They teach what-they-call “God’s ‘prophecy program’ for the nation Israel” and compare it with what-they-call “God’s ‘mystery program’ for the church, the body of Christ”.

Peter testified before the council at Jerusalem, about his experience in Acts 10 when God told him He had cleansed the Gentiles, and He sent Peter to take the gospel of salvation (Acts 11:14) to Cornelius and his kinsmen and near friends who were gathered at his house (Acts 10:24):

Acts 15:11 But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.

I did a word search and there is no mention of God having 2 ‘programs’. It is a ‘mid-Acts’ invention to make their erroneous paradigm.

Preaching The Kingdom of God?

Jesus was preaching the kingdom of God:

Luke 8:1 And it came to pass afterward, that he (Jesus - Luke 7:40) went throughout every city and village, preaching and shewing the glad tidings (Greek: [euaggelizo]) of the kingdom of God: and the twelve were with him,

Philip was preaching the kingdom of God:

Acts 8:12 But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.

Paul was preaching the kingdom of God:

Acts 20:25 And now, behold, I know that ye all, among whom I (Paul - Acts 20:16) have gone preaching the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more.

Paul was preaching the kingdom of God:

Acts 28:30-31 And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him,
31 Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.

Could anyone show me the VERSE that teaches the preaching of the kingdom of God by these 3 men were DIFFERENT kingdoms of God? .... or .... as ‘mid-Acts-ers’ want us to think, that Jesus and Philip were preaching one and the same kingdom of God .... and that Paul was preaching a DIFFERENT kingdom of God than they were.

Are YOU a Saint of the Most High God?

‘Mid-Acts-ers’ frequently refer to each other as ‘saints of the Most High God’. That’s strange, because Daniel chapter 7 is the only place in the Bible that the phrase is found, and ‘mid-Acts-ers’ do not believe that they will still be on the planet during the time the Bible connects with the ‘saints of the Most High’. Let’s look at the events surrounding the ‘saints of the Most High’:
Dan 7:18-27 But the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever.
19 Then I would know the truth of the fourth beast, which was diverse from all the others, exceeding dreadful, whose teeth were of iron, and his nails of brass; which devoured, brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with his feet;
20 And of the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows.
21 I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them;
22 Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to
the saints of the most High;
and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.

The SAME Mystery .... The SAME Prophecy

Jesus made it clear to His disciples and to His saints .... that those who believed on Him WERE to know the mystery .... and .... that those who did NOT believe on Him were NOT allowed to know it:

Mark 4:10-12 And when he was alone, they that were about him with the twelve asked of him the parable.
11 And he said unto them,
Unto you
it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God:
but unto them that are without,
all these things are done in parables:
12 That seeing they may see, and not perceive;
and hearing they may hear, and not understand;
lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.

Paul also was teaching and preaching the kingdom of God (Acts 14:22, 19:8, 20:25, 28:31; Rom 14:17; 1 Cor 4:20, 6:9-10, 15:50; Gal 5:21; Col 4:11; 2 Thess 1:5):

Acts 28:23-28 And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening. (also see Acts 26:22)
24 And some believed the things which were spoken, and some believed not.

Paul also quoted the SAME prophecy that Jesus had quoted.
Then Paul applied it to HIS ministry to the Gentiles:

26 Saying, Go unto this people, and say,
Hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand;

Both Jesus and Paul referenced the SAME passage about the blindness of Israel:

and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes;
lest they see with their eyes,
and hear with their ears,
and understand with their heart,

To the saints at Rome, Paul also explained Israel’s blindness as the mystery:

Rom 11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

‘Mid-Acts-ers’ follow the Cunning Royal Jester and his Jokers, believing that Paul’s use of the terms ‘the kingdom of God’ and ‘the mystery’ is different than Jesus’ use of the SAME.

‘Mid-Acts-ers’ refuse to acknowledge that the Jews who believed ‘in time past’ were ‘IN CHRIST’ .... but the scripture (Yeah, even what PAUL wrote) is very clear. The FAITH Paul now preached --- was the SAME FAITH he used to destroy --- the faith of those who were 'IN CHRIST' before him (Rom 16:7):

Gal 1:21-23 Afterwards I came into the regions of Syria and Cilicia;
22 And was unknown by face unto the churches of Judaea which were in Christ:
23 But they had heard only, That he which persecuted us (those which were ‘in Christ’ from vs. 22) in times past now preacheth the faith which once he destroyed.

‘Mid-Acts-ers’ always focus on the LAST part of this next verse. They should take a good look at the FIRST (since they teach 2 Jesus’) .... and .... the MIDDLE, that there is only ONE faith. Israel’s faith was the same faith as our faith. There is not a DIFFERENT FAITH those ‘in Christ’ before Paul (Rom 16:7) .... and those ‘in Christ’ since Paul:

Is Jesus Another Jesus?

The Cunning Royal Jester and his Jokers taught for years that Jesus in His ‘earthly ministry’ is ‘another Jesus’. They have insinuated the Holy Spirit at Pentecost was ‘another spirit’. They have said that the gospel preached during the earthly ministry of Christ by John the Baptist, Jesus, and the 12 disciples/apostles was ‘another gospel’.

Could someone show me the verse that teaches that?
Ahhh, here is the verse on which they base this absurdity:

2 Cor 11:4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached,
or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received,
or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

The Cunning Royal Jester’s chart even shows that the ‘mid-Acts-ers’ have to go ‘OUTSIDE of PAUL’ to get the payment of sin from who-they-think-is ‘another Jesus’ (Who was the Holy One Who died on the cross, in what-they-call ‘Israel’s program’):

Acts 2:36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made
that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ. (Would this mean that the ‘day of the Lord’ and the ‘day of Christ’ were the ‘day of the SAME Jesus’? Sure, it would! Yet the Cunning Royal Jester teaches that we will NOT experience the ‘day of the Lord’ but we WILL experience the ‘day of Christ’.)

Jesus Who died, is the SAME Jesus, Who God raised from the dead:

Acts 2:31-32 He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.
32 This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.

Jesus Who died, is the SAME Jesus Who God raised from the dead, Who is the SAME Jesus that went back to heaven:

Acts 1:11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven?
this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

The Cunning Royal Jester and his Jokers preach that the ‘risen, glorified Lord’ is ‘the Jesus’ Who appeared to Saul (Paul) on the road to Damascus .... as if He was a DIFFERENT ‘risen, glorified Lord’ than ‘the Jesus’ that appeared to the disciples/apostles (John 20:11-31; 21:1-14). Yet the SCRIPTURES say that the Person Who appeared to Saul was the SAME Jesus that he had been persecuting.

Acts 9:3-5 And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:
4 And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?
5 And he said, Who art thou, Lord?

Jesus prophesied that false Christs would rise and deceive many .... but He surely was not talking about Himself:

Mark 13:22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.

They claim to believe that the King James Version is the ‘very words of God’ .... but their actions speak louder than their words. They REFUSE the KJV word ‘BISHOP’ in preference for The Living Bible word ‘PASTOR’.

Could someone show me the KJV verse that calls the man who takes care of the church of God (1 Tim 3:5) a ‘PASTOR’?

Since he AVOIDS the KJV word, he should apologize to the other group of ‘mid-Acts-ers’ that make NO statement of final authority in the KJV.

It’s the rapture that triggers the day of the Lord.’

The Cunning Royal Jester is desperately trying to defend his paradigm without verses to back-up his story-telling. I think the old adage applies here:

The Horns of the Altar?

One of the 'mid-Acts' grace school test graders presented a seminar during which he said that, according to the 'prophecy program' .... the priests of Israel should have taken Jesus into the temple, bound and tied Him to the horns of the altar, and sacrificed Him. After his teaching session, my wife asked him where in the scripture he found such information, but he excused himself from us and walked away. I guess he is not used to being questioned to provide proof-texts for his claims.

The Last Means A First

In English grammar, the comparative is the form of an adjective which denotes the degree or grade by which a thing has a property or quality greater or less in extent than that of another.

Good - better.
First - second.
Old - new.
First - ? # - last.

Having a ‘new’ one .... makes the ‘first’ one be classified as ‘old’:

Heb 8:13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

Having a ‘better’ covenant .... makes the ‘first’ covenant be not as good:

Heb 8:6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.

Having a ‘second’ covenant .... forces the ‘previous’ covenant to be the ‘first’ covenant:

Heb 8:7 For if that first covenant had been faultless,
then should no place have been sought for the second.

Having ‘the last trump’ .... means there had to be at least one ‘PREVIOUS’ trump, certainly a ‘first trump’.

GOD did not identify the ‘PREVIOUS’ trump or trumpets through PAUL .... but GOD DID identify them through JOHN. Sadly, ‘mid-Acts-ers’ are prejudiced against John and they won’t listen to GOD through him, or anyone else really .... lots of times, they even object to what Paul wrote.

‘The last trump’ .... means there had to be a ‘first’ trump. Since the Cunning Royal Jester will not submit to GOD’s word that shows where ‘the last trump’ is .... he simply made one of his own invention. He teaches (6-27-10) that at the 1st trump, the dead are raised, and at the 2nd (or last) trump, the alive are changed .... that there are just 2, and only 2, blasts from the same trumpet. Please show me the verse! (I know he can’t.)

‘Mid-Acts-ers’ REFUSE to accept ‘the LAST trump’ in the Revelation of Jesus Christ (Rev 1:1; 10:7; 11:15,18) because it is written by the apostle JOHN .... even though ‘the last trump’ will sound when Jesus will be revealed from heaven to punish His enemies and glorify His saints .... as written by PAUL, the apostle of the Gentiles (Rom 11:13), who the ‘mid-Acts-ers’ CLAIM to follow (but don’t):

Some time ago I visited a ‘mid-Acts’ church website, and was surprised to find these words, "Although our beloved pastor was called home recently. He continues to spread the message of grace and the love of God towards us through print, audio and video (And for those that knew him "personal example and application")."

Could anyone show me the VERSE that teaches that the Lord ‘calls people home’?

Furthermore, and even more shocking, was that the event that led to his demise was of his own intention. He committed suicide.

He participated as a leader in their youth camps. What kind of "personal example and application" did his decision to kill himself exhibit to impressionable young people?

Could anyone show me the VERSE that teaches that when a person commits suicide, it can be described as the Lord ‘calling them home’?

How does his congregation think the Lord ‘called him home’? Do they think the Lord sent him a message that it was his time to go home? How do they think God communicated that news? Did an angel deliver it? Did he consult a woman that had a familiar spirit, like King Saul did? Did a prophet from beyond the grave appear to him, like Samuel, to tell him "to morrow thou shalt be with me"? (see 1 Sam 28:7-19)

They extend their appreciation to their (previous) pastor for being the man of God that he became through his own study of God’s word. For teaching them in dispensational understanding that makes their relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ complete.

Evidently, the Cunning Royal Jester based his assignment of the word ‘firstborn’ on this next verse (Col 1:18) .... where he made ‘firstborn’ to equal ‘head’ .... but that is NOT how the VERSE reads:

During a recent Sunday Evening Story-Time in 1 Thess 4:16, the ‘teaching elder’ of Illinois made a lengthy issue of the 2nd coming of Christ. He said, ‘When we talk about the 2nd coming, it has several installments to it. There is an interval between His coming in 1 Thess 4 and Rev 19. That’s different. The expression “the coming of the Lord” tells you there’s a series of events involved .... So the word “coming” implies a series .... the 2nd coming of Christ -- Just the terminology we use means we’re thinking about a period of time -- There’s some installments involved in it. 2 great installments.’

Dividing From Paul, Then Dividing Paul?

‘Mid-Acts-ers’ preach that, FIRST, you have to divide Paul FROM the rest of the Bible, because they believe that Paul’s epistles are distinct and different from all the other Biblical writers. But that’s not dividing far enough for ‘mid-Acts-ers’! They divide even further .... and teach that AFTER you have divided Paul FROM everyone else .... then you must divide Paul. By that, they mean that you have to divide ‘early’ Paul .... from ‘late’ Paul. They do this because they see Paul’s early epistles contain ‘practices’ (that-they-assign) in (what-they-call) ‘Israel’s prophecy program’ .... and that Paul’s later epistles are for (who-they-classify as) ‘the church, the body of Christ’ (which-they-think does NOT include ANY saints who were ‘in Christ’ BEFORE Paul).

Could anyone show me the VERSE that teaches .... first, to divide all the other scriptures away FROM Paul .... and then, to divide Paul from Paul?

And they wonder why anyone would label them ‘hyper’ dividers?!

‘Mid-Acts-ers’ believe that who-they-call ‘the church, the body of Christ’ saints that have died and gone to heaven .... are in another place, somewhere in ‘the heavenlies’ .... than the dead saints of what-they-call ‘Israel’s program’ who they think are in mansions (John 14:2-3) in heavenly Jerusalem. Since ‘mid-Acts-ers’ are such excessive DIVIDERS, they assign different destinies and separate inheritances for 2 groups of believers. ‘Mid-Acts-ers’ admit that the holy city will come to earth (Rev 21:2), but they feel like they have to keep ‘the church, the body of Christ’ isolated out of it, since they think they will be staying in heaven for eternity, while Israelite saints ride on down.

It was the ‘risen, glorified’ Lord Jesus Who told Saul on the Damascus Road, that the Gentiles would have inheritance AMONG other believers:

both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;

God broke down the middle wall of partition (Eph 2:14), and made the Gentiles acceptable to SHARE WITH Israel:

Peter, who ‘mid-Acts-ers’ say only ministered and wrote to Israel .... showed an eternal inheritance, stored up in heaven:

There are not sections of secluded saints .... not on earth .... not in heaven!

Extended Blowing of the Last Trumpet?

In his futile attempt to deny that ‘the last trump’ of 1 Cor 15:52 is the same as the last of seven trumpets to blow in Rev 10:7, he used the old argument I’ve heard from the ‘teaching elder’ many times before, who preaches that the trumps can’t be the same because 1 Cor 15:52 blows in an instant, and Rev 10:7 blows over an extended period of time.

However, when the verses are examined, notice that it is our ‘change’ that will occur in a moment --- not the trump sound. Our physical bodies will ‘change’ into glorified bodies in a split-second .... when the last trump sounds:

1 Cor 15:51-52 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

We will not all be dead then. Some saints will have survived and escaped the world-wide massive killing:

Rev 13:15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

Rev 10:7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.

While it is true that the phrase "in the days of" specifically describes 3-1/2 years in another passage in Rev 11:3-6 (which the preacher did not even mention), during the prophecy of the 2 witnesses .... that does not mean that "in the days of" MUST ALWAYS BE 3-1/2 years time span .... as can be seen by all the other 83 times the phrase is written in the scripture.

If the ‘mid-Acts’ method of handling the phrase "in the days of" was applied to another verse, it would mean that Jesus was not born on ‘a single day’ .... but over a period of YEARS when Herod was king:

Matt 2:1 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,

The preacher threw caution to the wind to say that the 7th angel is going to blow his trump for a whole 3-1/2 years.

They say since 1 Cor 9:16,17, tells that a dispensation of the gospel is committed to Paul, and Eph 3:2 tells that Paul was given the dispensation of the grace of God .... therefore, they are "looking only to what Paul writes in Romans to Philemon .... PERIOD!"

I have heard ‘mid-Acts-ers’ say that the END of the dispensation of grace will occur at (what-they-call) the rapture, and that Israel’s ‘prophecy program’ will go back into effect as God’s ruling principle, with requirements of keeping the Mosiac law, Levitical priesthood, animal sacrifices, Jewish circumcision (even for Gentiles to be accepted), tongues, and water baptism. Did PAUL teach that?

‘Mid-Acts-ers’ refuse to acknowledge that the Jews who believed ‘in time past’ were ‘IN CHRIST’ .... but the scripture (Yeah, even what PAUL wrote) is very clear. The FAITH Paul now preached --- was the SAME FAITH he used to destroy --- the faith of those who were 'IN CHRIST' before him (Rom 16:7):

Gal 1:21-23 Afterwards I came into the regions of Syria and Cilicia;
22 And was unknown by face unto the churches of Judaea which were in Christ:
23 But they had heard only, That he which persecuted us (those which were ‘in Christ’ from vs. 22) in times past now preacheth the faith which once he destroyed.

‘Mid-Acts-ers’ always focus on the LAST part of this next verse. They should take a good look at the FIRST (since they teach 2 Jesus’) .... and .... the MIDDLE, that there is only ONE faith. Israel’s faith was the same faith as our faith. There is not a DIFFERENT FAITH those ‘in Christ’ before Paul (Rom 16:7) .... and those ‘in Christ’ since Paul:

A teaching elder opened his messge this week with a comment about 1 Thess 4:16-17, where he began, "In this passage about the rapture ...." In all fairness, he did later admit that the word ‘rapture’ was not in the Bible, but he preaches that it will take place ‘pre-tribulation’, which to him, is before the 70th week of Daniel. He calls the entire 7 years the ‘tribulation’. He also taught that ‘just as he BEGAN the dispensation of grace with an appearance of the Lord calling Paul .... so it will END.’ By his remarks, he believes the dispensation of grace STARTED in Acts 9 with the calling of Saul on the road to Damascus, and that it will STOP with the ‘rapture’ of only-those-saints-that-have-believed-the-gospel-according-to-Paul .... 7 plus years BEFORE the man of sin arrives .... with another appearance of the Lord calling Paul’s converts up to heaven.

When teaching in 1 Thess 4:16-17, a teaching elder said, "It was a prophesied event, but a meaning to the prophesied event was not known till Paul. Then he repeated that Paul put a secret meaning to prophesied events. He also said of the shout, the voice, and the trump, that these events are unexpected and unprophesied.

1 Thess 4:16-17 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven
with a shout,
with the voice of the archangel,
and with the trump of God:
and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

The teaching elder said the shout announces the conclusion of the dispensation of grace.

The teaching elder said the trump was for the resurrection of the dead, our gathering together. I’ll go along with that .... but not with this:
He then DIVIDED the trump .... into 2 different 'blasts':
Blast # 1 will be for the dead in Christ to arise.
Separate blast # 2 will be for the alive to be changed.
He believes this second blast is ‘the last trump’ of 1 Cor 15:52.

(There is yet another point with this passage, that WHY would the Bereans even have been LOOKING in the scriptures .... IF .... as the ‘mid-Acts-ers’ claim .... Paul was preaching "uniquely DIFFERENT, NEW information"? If Paul’s revelation was not IN the scriptures .... then they would have been foolish to search for it there! But, it was there, as Paul himself testified in Acts 26:22; 28:23,31.)

Acts 17:10-11 And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews.
11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

I realize what the verses SAY .... but they do not suggest for us to pray for ‘that Berean spirit’. Would that be like ‘another spirit’ (2 Cor 11:4)? .... because we have the Spirit which is of God, the Spirit of Christ:

1 Cor 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

Rom 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

I believe I would rather just stay with HIS Spirit.

BTW, this was another preacher that refuses to acknowledge the KJV title of the office he holds as a 'bishop' .... preferring The Living Bible's term 'pastor' instead. (But this 'shepherd' tells his congregation that they are not 'sheep' -- that Israel is only the sheep.)

Luke recorded Paul’s own testimony that he was only preaching the same things that Moses and the prophets predicted:

Verses 5-7 actually name Peter (Cephas in John 1:42), the 12, over 500 brothers, James, and all the apostles as preaching the SAME gospel that PAUL preached in verse 11.

When the 7th angel sounds his trumpet, that will be the last trump .... and that is when the mystery of God (Rev 10:7, Col 2:2) will be finished, just as God told his servants the prophets (1 Cor 15:52). When the 7th angel sounds, Christ will return to gather the saints together and take His holy vengeance on His enemies (2 Thess 1:4-10, 2 Thess 2:1-10), and set up God’s kingdom in this world on earth (Rev 11:15, 2 Tim 4:1, Dan 2:44).

Is Jerusalem Our Mother, Too?

‘Mid-Acts-er’ teach that people who are saved by the ministry of Paul (who-they-call EXCLUSIVELY ‘the church, the body of Christ’) have a DIFFERENT inheritance than saints who were saved before Paul. They think that new Jerusalem is the inheritance for believers in what-they-call ‘Israel’s prophecy program’ .... and that ‘we’ have nothing to do with it.

Gal 4:26 But Jerusalem which is above is free,

Consider these 2 verses with each other:

Rev 21:2-3 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

New Jerusalem is the inheritance of ALL God’s children.
Notice the similarity from Paul:

2 Cor 6:16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Again, the ‘mid-Acts-ers’ are not only not believing God, they are not believing the very apostle (Paul) they claim is their only apostle to follow.

In the context of ‘the judgment seat of Christ’, before Whom we ALL will stand .... there is NO MENTION of WHEN the event will occur. However, God (through PAUL) immediately quoted the OLD testament promise from Isa 45:23, which indicates EVERY PERSON, not just believers, will appear there (see Isa 45:22-25):

Rom 14:8-12 For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.
9 For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.
10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.

The one other verse with the specific phrase ‘the judgment seat of Christ’ (2 Cor 5:10), again, gave NO CLUE in the context for the TIMING of its occurance.
